LADWP expands water conservation rebates

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is expanding several rebate programs, including commercial rebates for free low-flush toilets.

LOS ANGELES (March 24, 2022)  – As California enters a third year of drought, the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) is helping residential customers reduce their water use and save money with a 25% increase to its high-efficiency clothes washer rebate, from $400 to $500, as well as a more than 65% increase to its water-efficient toilet rebate, from $150 to $250. For business customers, rebates for low-flush toilets increased from $250 to $300.

The increased rebates are available now to all LADWP customers and will translate into ongoing, monthly bill savings for customers who take advantage of replacing their less efficient appliances and fixtures.

High-efficiency clothes washers use up to 55% less water than standard ones, reducing water use by over 11,000 gallons a year, while rebate-eligible toilets use more than 30% less water than less efficient models!
